Internal confidence carries. I love this posting. Truly inspirational and helpful. I have always believed I am not beautiful but recently I have figured out a way to feel beautiful. I realised that once I show that I am confident then I feel better about myself.

I love your message on re-framing “beautiful” – and it reminds me of why I have such an odd reaction to this notion that everyone is “beautiful” in their own way. I mean, sure, this is true, but why is beauty the standard we feel we need to measure ourselves and others to. Even if we change the accepted standards of what is considered attractive and what isn’t, it’s still an unnecessary standard to hold people to. Who cares if someone isn’t pretty or attractive? Aren’t there more important qualities they might possess that we should be glad of?

That’s just my two cents though, and something I’ve been thinking on. I really like your perspective!
