Even as a student, I understand how difficult it is and writers constantly come under heavy criticism. As well as my dissertation which I wrote with my work. But after a few experiences, I realized that I could not do without some help https://ukessay.com/help-with-dissertation-writing where I could get helpers from a person with great experience in writing works related to educational topics. This is really very cool.

Yes! I totally agree. I think different people have different levels of vulnerability and the “share dial” might be turned up for others and others not so much. My intention is to always share what I’m comfortable with and if I’m feeling a little out there – it’s okay so long my intentions and needs coming out of the piece are good 🙂 It’s different for everybody!

Keep writing and being truthful to any comfort level you desire 🙂 We need your words!

xoxo,
Brittany

You touched on this a little. I’m in your friend’s boat. I’ve been writing professionally for a few years now and as a consequence, haven’t published anything under my *own* name in forever. The prospect of doing so is scary, even if the content itself were to be relatively benign, i.e. not revealing any tender nuggets of personal truth. Putting your words out there, saying “these are my thoughts, feelings, opinions,” and putting them in the hands of other people to react to and comment on… Yikes! My stomach twists just at the thought.

Anyway, I really enjoyed this piece and it’s something I think about a lot — how to tell truthful stories that resonate without making your inner life your professional currency? Or “using” vulnerability, as you so incisively phrased it.

Thank you so much!! Beautiful writing truly comes from the heart and if our intention is to gift it to others and not expect much in return. I always try to check off those boxes when I sit down with a pen and paper – low expectations and a lot of soul 🙂 Keep writing!! There are definitely people out there that need to read your work!

I, too, write honest personal stories (it’s the only way I know to write), and I wonder if I’m oversharing. I think I’ve made a proper boundary so far. What matters most to me is the human, “I’m not the only one feeling” I can give to my readers.
