One sister texts every few weeks that she needs us to tell her not to buy something, or laments that she would love to go shopping. I think other sister still does a lot of browsing online but has a bit more willpower. I…. just don’t care. its not even a challenge anymore! Its just one less way to spend my money or spend my time. Our rules for this year are that we can replace something if absolutely necessary (i.e. need new running shoes because the old ones have too many miles), and if we do need to buy an item, we buy it from a local store/brand that produces ethically. We can also have one cheat day if we choose to do so. The first time I did the challenge, my first purchase in the new year was black skinny jeans! Now they are a staple in my wardrobe!
